What does it mean to be a Volunteer?
A person who carries out volunteer activities is considered a volunteer, according to Law 1/2015, of February 24, on Volunteering in the Community of Madrid. In Peru, article 2 and literal b) of article 3-A of Law No. 28238 recognizes the following:
Volunteering is the set of activities of general interest carried out by natural persons within public or private organizations, which are free, free and supportive in nature, without having as a cause a personal obligation or a legal duty. Volunteering not only benefits the community or cause supported, but also provides an enriching experience for the volunteer themselves, encouraging personal growth, the development of new skills and a greater understanding of various social realities.

All those adults and young people who support the optimal functioning of the organization and its development will be volunteers at La FED, and they will be able to perform different types of tasks, depending on the social project in which they are going to get involved.
- Participation in the network of play groups
- Programming of annual activities.
- Social media management and design.

- Environmental education activities
- Preparation of project reports.
Benefits
Although volunteering is an altruistic activity, our Foundation provides several benefits to volunteers who participate, in recognition of their time and effort. These benefits may include:

We are recognized by the National Volunteer System of Peru, an essential platform that facilitates the connection between organizations, volunteers and volunteer projects throughout the country. Through the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations they provide multiple benefits for all volunteers.
Rights and duties of volunteering
- Transparent, effective and efficient management.
- Be treated without discrimination and with justice, respecting your freedom, dignity, privacy and beliefs.
- Participate with the foundation in the development, design, execution and evaluation of the activity plan.
- Promotion and collaboration in carrying out appropriate training actions for coordinators.
- Adequate training and guidance to carry out the tasks entrusted to them.
- Guarantee the carrying out of your activity in proper safety conditions.
- Guarantee the carrying out of your activity in proper safety conditions.
- Receive the information, training, guidance, support and, where appropriate, material means necessary to carry out the functions assigned to you.
- Stop providing volunteer services as soon as you consider it appropriate, justifying the decision, at the same time, trying to notify 3 weeks in advance so that the necessary measures can be taken so that no negative impacts occur on the projects.
- Comply with the dates acquired with the entity.
- Punctuality in play groups activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of the information received and known in the development of its activity. Reject any type of economic compensation.
- Respect the people or group of people who benefit from your activity.
- Promote the exchange of tools and good practices in work and management in which forms of collaboration between volunteers can be studied.
- Participate in virtual or in-person training activities planned by the foundation to maintain the quality of the services provided.
- Properly use the identification accreditation.
- Comply with the committed service, without invading other people's fields.

- Promote citizen participation in the scope of our foundation and organization, offering social spaces where people can get involved in the continuous improvement and construction of society.

- Achieve adequate integration of volunteers within the FED human team.
- Promote social participation of the community and volunteers in FED activities at the national and international level.
Volunteer profile
Anyone interested and motivated by the work we do can participate in our foundation. We believe that all people have intrinsic value and their own knowledge or experience that they can contribute to society, and volunteer work is one way to do so. As long as they respect the basic principles of our foundation, and share our vision, anyone can collaborate with us and be part of the FED team. We believe, however, that there are some values and Basic attitudes that every volunteer should have:

Basic axis in our way of acting and working, as an essential complement to professional work, since it gives a human quality in accompanying boys and girls.

¿Qué es ser Voluntario?
Se considera voluntario a la persona que realiza actividades de voluntariado, según la Ley 1/2015, de 24 de febrero, del Voluntariado en la Comunidad de Madrid. En Perú, el artículo 2 y literal b) del artículo 3-A de la Ley N° 28238 reconoce lo siguiente: El voluntariado es el conjunto de actividades de interés general desarrolladas por personas físicas en el seno de organizaciones públicas o privadas, que tengan un carácter libre, gratuito y solidario, sin que tengan por causa una obligación personal o un deber jurídico.
